Who Did Dr Who Actually Kill?
3 Answers
Right towards the end of the Xmas special - did the Doctor kill the soothsayer because she was source of the time warp/diamond 'power' which regenerated the Master? Was the soothsayer actually his mother? I don't buy he just shot the diamond to pices that's so boring besides diamonds stronger than bullets etc..
All wild theories gladly considered.

I thought that the character named The Woman, played by Claire Bloom, was the one whose identity was hinted as possibly being the Doctor's mother.According to the review in the latest DWM the answer may be revealed in the new edition of The Writer's Tale which is published later this month.Though that may just be tease.
And what about the weeping angels? Are they fallen Time Lords?

Great thank you for that.
The shooting of the diamond makes better sense. I need to look more closely at what the soothsayer is doing. Why prophesy the future when time is about to end? How could the Master fall for such a trick? I have heard that the Claire Bloom character was his mother and more importantly that she was indeed one of the weeping angels and they had been created by the Doctor as entrapment (punishment) for Time Lords with maniacal intent. All very fascinating.
