Nuthatch with ring on leg

I have 2 nuthatches come into our garden daily. I`ve noticed one has a ring on its right leg. I got a close up of it and the silver ring looks as if it has a flower on it. Does anyone know what this is please.

I believe rings are always numbered not symbol'd so to speak. Are you sure its not a number that looks a bit like a flower?!
A google on "BTO" (british trust ornithology) and "ringing" may give you more answers perhaps.

Thankyou Avatar.Having looked the (flower)is probably the name of centre. We are using a photo taken of the bird. Been easier with something bigger.
