And not sure where to put it but I know you guys will hopefully tell me!
Can you report someone for driving what I would of thought as dangerously once I am hone even if I only had the registration!?
On my way home there was some **** driving so close behind me on the A1 that at times I couldnt even see his headlights in my rear view mirror! I could of gone for the stepping on your breaks and if he hits me it is his fault, but I didnt fancy having someone driving into me and didnt want to inconvenience alol the other cars if we had an accident!
Im not a new new driver, been driving since April so around 9 months now, so i am not a very nervous driver but not overly confident!t
If I had got his registration, could I have reported him when I got home? As I dont have a handsfree so couldnt do anything at the time!
Just wondering really!
Ta! :-)

The Police would have to decide whether to pursue a case, when their only evidence was one witness - you.
The Police only want to pursue easy cases, and so you would get a letter saying that there was insufficient evidence to send to the CPS, and thanking you for your "help".
So - waste of time.

Yes you can report them " as previously stated "
however the worst that would happen without witnesses or camera evidance " road or speed camera " is they would get a call and be adviced that someone has reported their driving behaviour as dangerous.
with the lack of actual evidance " also as previously stated " there is little more the police can do.
However do not let this put you of , as i know someone who had this happen to them so in some cases the police do actualy follow these things up.
And who knows a warning could be all thats needed to prevent this type of action again.

Hi, tapping your brake can have repercussions believe me, there are some knb heads out there that would not think anything of putting you in the ditch & the A1 is full of them, what I can see here, I gather you are female! this happens a lot with female drivers they get intimidated by a lot of male drivers. In your case Hands free or no Hands free I would have phoned the police given them your location, the law would have used their discretion regards your driving whilst using your phone, another way to stop this switch on your rear fog lights until the clown passes you or place a High Vis Jacket on the parcel shelf if travelling at night.

Hey again all!
Dusty, that is what I would of liked to do, but his car was bigger then mine so think I would of come off worse!! (plus Im a woss and scared of any kind of confrontation!)
Eddie, not sure how I would do that on my car? Or if I could!? Normally we have to brake quite a bit coming up to the jct where I turn off, and was holding out for then because I would of had to brake, but typically today, I didnt have to!
