We are having winds somewhere between gale and hurricane force, and the french shutters have blown off the second bedroom. It wouldn't even be safe to take Alfie out for a walk. We are losing power every now and again, and at some point, it will probably go off for a good while. Should I take stacks of food to bed with me and just hiberntate? I have Stollen, tortilla, a bag of waffeln mit haselnussstuckchen thingees and a pack of choccie digestives. :-)

we're decorating at the moment - well, not we actually, just him, so i'm trying to appear useful while i'm actually not doing much. can't go out because of the snow and ice, heating's on and off, house is a complete tip (why is it when you just decorate one rood, the whole house is affected?) your suggestion sounds good, nomercy, back to bed with some comfort food.
'room' not rood

Hey NoMerc, be sure to charge up the spare computer battery (in case power goes away for a while), that is if you have one so you could stay in touch, and hang out on here while that horrible weather wile away. And don't forget to keep a flash-light handy just in case... Be safe NoMercy!
If I could have everything I need with me at home then I'd be quite haooy to be house bound at the moment, I'm bloody over this weather and being back at work.
The daughter has just rung....she's just arrived home from New Zealand and despite being up for the last 54 hours she can't get to sleep and can't get over the amount of snow still lying around...............

NoKnow... you can be such a child sometimes.

I probably would, ethandron, if I had a telly in the bedroom. I've got a spare telly in the wardrobe in the spare room, but I cannot be bothered to get it out.

Craft.... reckon I should veg out on the sofa instead?
as long as you're warm, and have copious amounts of alcohol and junk food and TV I'm sure you'll survive,..

sorry if I was a bit of an ar&e last night........

Society... I'm more worried about how I'm going to cook the dinner tonight, than keeping the comp on.

China... were it not for the wind, it would be like a summer's day out there. The sun is shining beautifully, and it would be a beautiful day to go and have lunch at the golf course or somewhere.

Craft.... don't be so daft. NoKnow get's on my nerves more than anyone and I still can't believe Sqad blamed me for reporting his thread, or Dot called me an over zealous red coat. I never even saw Sqad's banned thread and as for the participation games, well, anything is better than the vile abuse we've been getting lately. I suppose I'm just a bit touchy at the mo, and I don't know what to expect on Cb anymore. xx
Aye NoMerc, people talk, will talk and assume. As long as you know you're innocent, and true to yourself, why bother bothering. What does "overzealous red coat" mean?
