I hope someone can help

We have put a new sink in our bathroom and there is no pressure on the hot tap. We have a tank in the airing cupboard which  is on the landing, this is where we have chopped into the pipe to connect the hot.

We have a tank in the loft should we connect to this but i'm not sure if that is just cold water ?

Please help fed up of washing in cold or carrying hot kettle up and down.

The level of the hot water exit from the tank needs to be higher than the sink tap to give you a head of pressure.

Assuming that it is, have you fitted a valve and forgotten to open it?

Should have said that the water level needs to be higher.

As landie says, if the hot water tank isn't high enough you wont get enough pressure. The water is pushed from the tank to the tap by gravity, so you need a reasonable height from the water level in the tank to the level of the tap.

if its a cylinder boiler i think you need to do a back flush on your hot water system it may have a blockage( this can't be done on a combi boiler). this worked for me on a bathroom i fitted last year.  Ask a plumber how to do this you can do it yourself a bit long winded to write down.  Or alternatively you may need a pump adding to your hot water.  but i do think its a blockage,
