I love football and have done for ages and always will. I am 13 yrs old now but i really want to play for England when im older i can just never find out how i get there and what it takes to play for England, Also would i be old enough by 2018 to play for England? Thanks :)
Question is are you any good? The standard is very high and the scouts are always out looking for good young players. Does your coach rate you? Have you ever been offered extra coaching? How often do you practice your ball skills each week? Do you play for a recognised team?
All these are things which as Dot says, get you recognised.
Do you mean the club you play for now only have under 14s or something? You need to get yourself in a club that has all the ages up to under 18s, iof this means you have to travel every weekend to practise and play matches and maybe one night in the week for training then you'll need to get that organised. You'll need your parents support, do you play for your school team? If so are they entered in any local cups?
Write to your local league club and ask for a trial - thats what I did when i was 15 or 16 - they'll fit you in sometime in the seaon. If your any good they might ask you to join their academy - most clubs have one. Then you would get professional coaching and FA scouts would watch the games you play in. Thats the way to start - best of luck.
Good luck, but in my experience the standard at academies is really high. Many players are picked up by clubs now at the age of around 8 and it's unlikely that a player would have slipped through the net right through to age 13. If you are a promising player you should have been selected to play at representative level- maybe for your county- already. Just enjoy playing and you will find your level. I've been playing regularly for over 40 years and still enjoy it- an who knows a scout may spot me sometime
