Has anyone seen the space station tonight?

Has anyone seen it tonight? Wendilla's post yesterday was really interesting and the skies are clear tonight, but I think I missed it - got home from work too late! - it was due locally just after 5 in this area. The tracker says it's coming back at 6.37 tonight, is that right ?

Not tonight. Saw it last night, though. Interesting, but I think once is probably enough...

not sure where you live but i always use this website.

http://www.heavens-above.com/

under configuration click "from a database" then click on united kingdom

then in the search string box enter your nearest big town., click submit.

then click on your town on the page that appears.

then at the top of the page where it says see the iss in daylight click on the blue word "here"

you will then have a list of dates and time for all the passes over or near your house.

You will only get till end of month for views this way then it will be a few weeks before its over this way again,

I've just seen it legging over the sky - thanks for your help (they must be pedalling very fast!). Quite a treat for the uninitiated!

yes it was only a minute view but I could not get out the back where I usually see it as I had let my 2 birds out so could not open door. But I have seen it many times but I still watch it when I can.

The only way I can describe it to you is look at the largest planet and it is like that except it is gliding across the sky and you can actually see the shape of the 2 arms that were put on last year when the sky is really clear .It is just one very bright light and does not blink.

We could not see it tonight it is so cloudy here in Buckinghamshire, I wanted to show my daughter it but there is a blanket of cloud in the skys, I printed off the dates that Wendilla so kindly put on last night and it is amazing how so many people want to see it....Hopefully tomorrow night will be good but last nights was brilliant sighting

Nope, I watched out for it but it was too cloudy -shame, it would have been another good one -almost directly overhead according to the NASA stats.

I did research it though and found some fascinating info:

Glad you have found more info this is how I started on this nearly 3 years ago and found out lots of interesting things. Have you tried SPACEWEATHER.COM also NASA TV this is where you will find out when the spaceshuttles take off and land and you can watch it live.
