Only The A F D Can Save Germany

Why do some programme makers think the average viewer now has the attention span of a goldfish?
Many programmes, especially those about house renovation/sale, have to have a trailer before the commercial break telling us what is coming up later(presumably to ensure we stay tuned for the 2 minute break), and then after the commercials we have to have a review of what's happened so far, obviously because we have terrible memories.
Can somebody please tell the makers that we can remember things from one minute to the next, and we are watching the programme because we want to, so we don't need promos every 15 minutes.
