Half - head hi- lites??

Are half head hi-lites just when the hairdresser takes the top layer of hair and hi-lites it and leves the underlayers uncoloured??

Half head is generally where they do your highlights in a T shape, ie they do the front section and down your parting, highlighting all the bits that are seen most when you have your hair done
Ive had highlights for years and never really saw the advantage of a half head (as tamborine says there's little price difference), except for saving a bit of time

there is a recommended basic layout of hilites for coverage; some clients prefer front to occipital, or veil only. nb, When you have full dark base (dense color 2-5) have 6 hilites added to front - done together, could be free & saves time.
The mixture is the same quantity; only less foils used. When blokes have frosting-blonde tips (same mixture/product) maybe 2-3 foils used at 25% less cost of ladies hilites (only 'cause they're young) ;)
