I'm enjoying it again this year but could someone please shoot the woman/women who go "Woooooooo" all the time.
When they introduced all the stars at the beginning I turned the sound off. Anybody agree?

Yes. Did you think I meant she was here with me? Every programme like this seems to have manic audiences shrieking and hollering their heads off. It is so unnecessary, and means the likes of Philip Schofield have to shout too, to make themselves heard.

yeah there used to be a screamer on xfactor that used to scream as if she was being murdered if simon praised any act. I reckon they are paid to do it..

they have someone whipping up the crowd, telling them when to clap and cheer, how loud, for how long, etc..

I think the producers still hold up boards to the audience saying 'LAUGH' 'SCREAM' 'APPLAUSE' and the rest, as why else would an audience make such a fuss about some halfwit who has not even done anything yet?
I agree, all the shows seem to have this pointless screaming and clapping and that is why I never watch telly.
(I hear it when the wife watches all the rubbish she likes !!)

They even have it on things like Loose Women and the Paul O'Grady Show!! Why?? They are not going to whip Me up into hysteria about the programme are they? Grrrr.

We went to a recording of The Paul O'Grady show in London (Significant Other's idea), and some talentless bunch of oiks were on it. But the shreiking and hollering was not coming from the likes of us (Pre-booked places), who had no idea who was going to be on the show, but from obviously demented fans of these nonentities, who had queued at the door to get in. How they knew in advance they were going to be on, I can only guess, perhaps from their website?
