Do we need the National Association of Muslim Police and the National Black Police Association ?

Isn't this proof that having different associations (ie NAMP, NBPA and others), in our police service just doesn't work, they only go towards increased diversity in the service.

A Police Officer friend of mine asked his Chief Constable for a similar donation [that his own force had made towards the running costs of a Black Police Officers' Association] to set up a similar organistion for White Police Officers.
He was told in no uncertain terms if he made this an official request, i.e. in writing, for this he'd be on a disciplinary, for conduct unbecoming ... [etc] Either we are all for full integration or not. Our society really does beggar belief sometimes. A no I'm not a Daily Mail reader. OK rant over.
