How can I put a movie from a dvd onto USB stick

I need to put a dvd onto a USB stick .not to good with this kind of stuff, do I need a program/can i download it and how do i do it

Is it a 'proper' DVD or something you copied onto a disc? If it is a 'proper' DVD, you will some software to get past the protection on the disc. There is loads of software that can do this and below is a link to a few of them.It's been a while since I copied a DVD, but I seem to recall that I used a program called DVD Shrink.

Once you have your DVD copied onto your hard drive, I think it will just be a case of dragging and dropping it onto your USB stick.

Thanks "teak" its not a protected dvd just something copied of TV .....many thanks

Hi Imact,

if it is something copied off TV, then I dont think you need to go through all the hassle in my first answer. I think if you just put the disc into your computer and then go to 'my computer' you can right click on the drive and then click on explore, which should then show you what is on the disc. You could then copy and past the files to your USB stick.
