Annoying UKnetguide pop-up

Do others get this annoying page which comes up whilst you are in the middle of typing an answer or a request? I shall be turining my back on this site if it continues. What can be done?

Foxglove - I don't seem to get that problem at all, so can't see how you can blame the site.

Has your virus checker got a Spam filter?  If so, try turning it up a notch.  You might lose the Adverts category when you do so but you can alway readjust if you get the urge to visit that section.

I have just bought new norton. I can see the ads section and have no pop ups windows and bt yahoo blockers are disabled

Why do you make the threat to leave the site?  Who do you think you are going to affect if you never post on here again?  If it really bothers you that much why don't you get a decent popup blocker or spam filter like suggested instead of making stupid threats that noone cares about.

You've got spyware which you'll get whether on AB or not, it's not their fault. Download a few of the many good ones out there, e.g. Spybot.  Microsoft have their own (ex-Giant). And yes, use a pop-up blocker. Note however that some internet banking uses pop-ups. To allow a pop-up, press and hold the CTRL key when accessing a link.

Thanks Kerplunk, you have made me realize that I am not the centre of my own universe. I will not boycott this web site. It's good to see people talking  honest to goodness common sense, and not being afraid to speak up (and I'm NOT being sarcastic).

i dont have that problem, try downloading the google toolbar with its popupstopper
