This was originally "I see that all things come to an end", and is nothing more than a quote from the Prayer Book (Psalm 118:96). As such, it was originally in Latin anyway:
"Omnis consummationis vidi finem"
The extra word "good" somehow found it way into the expression over the ensuing centuries, during which time the phrase became proverbial.
