thanks for that but I know State Pension is different to Job Seekers Allowance and I had to fill forms for a girl who is about to receive JSA and they asked for every single piece of savings she has and I thought that would apply to State Pension
If a person has enough national insurance credits they will entitled to at least the basic state pension when they reach pension age regardless of how much savings they have or a private pension.
I get a state pension, but as I do not claim any other benefits my savings are not to the interest of anyone except myself.
My savings would only come into play if I were to claim a means tested benefit.
