MM Links Solutions January 2010 [Week 3]
10 Answers
Once again, The Regal Roslyn (aka roslyn251254) let the points flow for the early birds, but there was little left for the middle-ranking players. Under the theme, “Make a Splash”, her chosen links were:
Water POLO
MASTER Stroke
FAST Lane
Club SANDWICH
I note that both kawakiri and rockfordill heeded my advice of last week concerning being devious, as both managed to pick up a point in what was quite a robust game with no clear overall star.

Three of the next four also found the Fast Lane, but in addition each found a second match to score FOUR POINTS. They were x-ray with his WATER POLO, slaney with her CLUB SANDWICH and beejay pulling off a MASTER STROKE!
This superb start was repeated by Entrant #10, when lysander echoed the double hit of slaney for another Four Points. There was still time to pick up a bonus point for any early hit and regulars: Christiana, seekeerz, gen2 and deecee took full advantage for Two Points each. There then followed a steady trickle of One Pointers in the form of rockfordill, mirandasmum and jobjockey.
There were so many entrants on Four Points that I cannot pick out any ONE person as HOT SHOT OF THE WEEK, however I must say that I thought that the game finished off in a rather strange fashion. Five of the last six entrants picked up a point! They were patchett, Aquagility, ladyalex, kawakiri & twix123. There has never been such a “sting in the tail”.

The top of the League Table after this third week is:
EIGHT POINTS: slaney
SEVEN POINTS: lysander
FIVE POINTS: x-ray
FOUR POINTS: beejay1124, Dustybun, evsajo, gen2, grannydi, miss meg, seekeerz, Strix & ulysses
THREE POINTS: cliffyg, deecee131, kettledrum & ladyalex
As you can see, two or three players have been able to pull ahead, but I am reliably informed that leader, slaney, will soon be unavailable over a substantial part of February. That will narrow the field somewhat! How next week will end up is anyone’s guess.
See you all next week: Same time ~ Same place
Until then, this is crofter signing off and wishing you: HAPPY LINKING!

. . . . and me, an Eagles fan, and I didn't go for Fast Lane! DOH!
Thanks Crofter and Regal Roslyn, and well done all those who did have their heads screwed on the right way! For tearinghair ~ I haven't tried the raisin one YET, but I shall. Either way it's a case of 'a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips!'
