Y do I lose the music when I switch back to threads - it never used to happen?

Where's Chuck & Rojash when you need 'em - coffee breaks are off till you sort my problem!

when somebody give a Youtube URL & I click on it, it plays but when I switch back to the thread the music stops & the URL is lost. I want to be able to hear the music while I continue the thread.

Tambo, it has something to do with your 'settings' . That used to happen to me before, but I forgot exactly how I solved it.

Try right-clicking on the thread and selecting "open in new window"

switching between 2 windows on the same subject gets confusing. Can you tell me how to do the embed pls.

Mustardmit,,,the embed continues playing while I type but the URLs cut out.

When you start to make your post, there are two small panes above the main typing pane, the top one labelled (Optional) Enter URL is where you paste in your Youtube link.
Type what you need to type then 'submit answer'.
That's what I've been doing and the clip then embeds as it did with that last one.
Don't quite understand what you mean by 'URLs cut out'.
