Is it easy to disconnect a frost stat? Ours is in our garage and pipes are all covered. We live 200ft above sea level etc. Its cooking our house and wont turn off for hours. I keep going out and turning it down to nearly off.
If you're sure it's the frost stat, it should be no problem to disconnect. A frost stat effectively by-passes all other controls and fires the boiler and pump directly. There are normally 3 wires (and maybe an earth). Live in, live out, and neutral. ISOLATE the mains, then disconnect these wires, terminate them in a connector block separately, and that should do it. If you're at all unsure, get an electrician in.
