B.B.C 4 tonight.

There was a show on tonight, very good, called "Shooting The War" on it was amateur footage of the war in France, what was remarkable (for me anyway) was not only did the French army not show up to fight the Germans, but they didn't even put French troops in the line to not fight.
They were Morrocans and Algerians.

well what happenned was the germans bombed the French white flag factory, effectively removing any military capability they had!

Be fair, the French won the battles of Patay and Formigny, in the Hundred Years War. That's why we don't rule great chunks of France.Granted their strategy was to ease us out, rather than have big pitched battles, but still we have to give them those !
