Does a car NEED a front bumper?
I own a mk1 golf and have removed the front bumper and fitted indicators, can it still pass an mot or does it need a bumper in order to pass. Also do card require a front tow bar to pass mot?

Something else to consider:
Unless you've notified your insurers you've probably invalidated your insurance, since they'll regard the changes as 'modificatio ns' to the vehicle. If you do tell your insurers your premiums will probably increase significantl y.

the vehicle is not 'road legal' and will be failed by any competent MoT examiner.

An mot should be ok as long as there are no loose or sharp edges and the indicators are correctly fitted along with the front number plate. You would have significantly reduced protection in a crash though and would probably void your insurance as it is modified and because of the reduced protection in a crash

There are no sharp edges, infact I would say the bumper is sharper than the bodywork. the insurance shouldn't be a problem an as regards to te impact safety it will be more of a show car then an evryday car.
