Three big problems. Any help or huge hints would be greatly appreciated.
1. University lecturer to go in e.g. ermine finery
2. Camelot set in The Cape - Merlin initially is in pickle
3. A school in France where student's initiation is describing Virgin Birth
Is it academe, if so , why ?

29. Last word is the definition. Everything else goes inside the e.g ermine part of the clue.
34 A tricky one, this. Last part is the cryptic bit.

26. Not academe. Last part of clue provides definition
RE 34 - As Christiana says, a tricky one. The first word is the definition.....and, in this context, has nothing to do with King Arthur. It is in Chambers.

Thank you both for your hints. You have confirmed my answers but i'm still having trouble sorting out the clashes
Think carefully about the title and the 'appeal'. The response to the 'appeal' can be found in the 15 cells of the grid if the clashes are resolved properly. It's represented straightforwardly - no diagonals or back to front or spacing out. Good luck.
I've just posted on your other thread as well about how to find the weekly EV thread.
