8 yr old son wants to live with his dad, what's the right procedure?
My 8 yr old son has lived with me since birth and me and his dad split when he was about 2. His dad as always been apart of his life but now our son has said he would like to live with his dad.
Normally i would put up a fight with this but my son has a terrible time at school in regards to his behavior and myself and his school feel like we have tried all sorts to help him settle but nothing is working, i feel this change might help him and am willing to try it.
But me and his dad wants it to be done correctly, regarding the law his dad does not have parental responsibility for our son as we did not get married, neither of us want it to go to court as we are both under agreement it might help our child. What is the next step for us?
Thanks

I'm not sure how but the CAB will be able to advise you. It's really lovely to see separated parents working together for the best interests of their child and not just thinking about themselves :o)
