Twenty20: I'm sorry if you think that i've offended your profession, but If you believe that I called the shop assistant a 'bulldog' to her face, then you need help. I was very polite, but stressed the fact that if Tesco planned on charging me extra for exchanging a faulty product, then they would be in breach of the SOGA.
IMO if a sales assistant is given the authority to process exchanges / refunds, then they should clearly be aware of store policy regarding the same.
And yes, I stand by my claim that they are 'ripping people off'. There was an article in the Telegraph recently about a wine critic who had bought a bottle in their half price sale. She later realised that she had already purchased the same bottle 4 months previously for £2.00 cheaper than it was in the sale. Just another example of their ethics.
