I always take a chinese, the nearest chinese to my parents is a good hour away (they live in the middle of nowhere) and they really love the food from the local chinese close to where we live, its a special treat for them, other than that i eat the local produce, especially the fresh oysters and mussels and langoustines.

Same here, Webbo. I prefer the local food to English food on the whole. But you do need some basic essentials, such as tea bags etc. Funnily enough there's Indian and Nepalese restaurants round here which far surpass anything I find in my home town.

My husband's mum used to take instant mash and bisto gravy to make up on the beach for him and his sis to eat!!! Lmao - who the hell wants to eat that on hol especially on a hot beach!

I used to work at an airport on security and at Christmas
we x-rayed frozen turkeys ,crackers, and puddings but
most people took t-bags , marmite, and sliced bread !!!
