A massage and some deep heat.
No but I once went to a seafood disco and pulled a mussel.
How long ago did you do it?
i think i pulled a muscle in my back, doing to many weights.

i was told to do gentle exercises that slowly bend the back, so you can feel the pain, just a tiny bit , then you know your esxercising the muscle you've hurt.
Question Author
ive had the pulled muscle for about 4 days
but that might be wrong because the person who said that was only a trainee first aider person.
Right, then follow the advice of ChinaDoll plus Ibuprofen tablets 600mgms as ans when necessary.
moving it slowly and gently is similar to a massage isn't it? or was i told completely wrong?
Its that old cliche fab, TIME in time it will heal itself, time will tell,
Jem.
Diclofenac is very good for this (available at chemists as 'Volterol Emulgel P'). Mollykins, you are correct. My OH had pain from a strained muscle in his back for 4 months or so; only started to get better when he started doing exercises given to him by his physiotherapist but the above gel eased the pain in the meantime.
