Vundo.b virus

According to the scans I have done,I have removed this virus from my computer but I cant get rid of the Norton "Virus Alert" box from my desktop.

Any ideas?

Did you use the Trojan.Vundo.B Removal Tool from Symantec?

Yes I have tried that Fern,but to no avail.
When the Virus alert box pops up, does it say what virus it found? I don't use Norton, I have AVG, which so far has kept my computer clean from viruses.

I ran AVG and it said there was no virus on my computer but the box still remains

Very odd then. You could try contacting Symantec and asking about it. There is a feedback page on their site. There might be something in the registry. How are you at editing that?
