How long has CB been a part of AB?
I seem to have overlooked it in previous years (not having been back on it for long).
Was just wondering why the site is still called 'Answerbank' when it's becoming more and more dificult to find useful information.
I personally used to come here to either help (with my limited knowledge) people. Or if I had a need for group advice..
I'm not the only one to notice that it's being taken over by abusive chatroomers..
Does anyone here agree that Chatterbank should go?
mudman.....don't know whether or not you are male or female, as only if you are the latter will CB be really interested in your comments.......and only then if they agree with you.
Don't let them force you out.......you theoretically have a right to an opinion.
Mudman, I do tend to agree with you. When I posted my "Locate a Grave" post in CB on Sunday I was overwhelmed by the responses and, of course, your own very kind words of encouragement. It would be nice to see more intellectual posts on here rather just saying HI to your mates, isnt that what MSN/Facebook etc is for surely?
Kat - As one of your responders (how did it go ?) I would like to say that CB stands for ChatterBank...........where you can go for information OR inane chatter.
I don't MSN or FB...........and would be unlikely to admit many of the folks on AB if I did..
The remainder of Answerbank provides room for more intellectual/sensible posts and enquiries..........
Im all for CB and i agree with jackthehat, if you don't like it, don't visit it. Simple, its a good section to have a chat, hence the name. We are all friends on here, right, right....err anyway, cant we all just use the site for its intended purpose....Q&A......and if you want a friendly chat or debate, take a stroll over to CB, you are bound to enjoy at least on of the threads on there.
CB is for chit chat, you cannot complain about the content of CB if it fits its designation (chatterbank is for chattering)
Answerbank is for everything else, if you find innapropriate content in other area's then report it to the Ed.
