Low Disc Space Warning
4 Answers
I am constantly getting a popup message telling me that I am running very low on Disk space C: which is my partitioned part of my H/Drive holding all of my P/Cs operating details, as I never add to this section of my H/Drive I am wondering what it is all about. Having checked it out I find that there are 16 Data Files marked SQM Data files, I have Googled this & apparently they are something to do with Windows Media. Is it safe to delete these 16 files ?

you could also download and run ccleaner to clear all your temp files

But if you are getting low on space both the above are only stop-gap measures and you will need to look into moving larger stuff off to another drive. keep in mind the the "my documents" folder is stored on the C drive as standard so any pictures or music you may have (Including iTunes if you have it) will be taking up space on your C drive and it that sort of stuff that eats the space and you should consider moving.

Thanks a lot Chuck, although you say you don't think it will make much difference, each of these files consist of 268 Bytes & as I had 16 of the little bu**ers that adds up to 4288 Bytes & because my C; drive was created to only hold the 'working' parts of the computer any extra is too much,I have now deleted them & will see how we get on.( next thing is I think to get rid of MSN if possible) Ron.
