Actor..born in 1927,died 1978...born inIreland I think...Played the tank commander in 'Battle of the Bulge'..and more notably 'Quint' in 'Jaws'...sad loss.

Also in the film "The Battle of Britain", from which an excerpt (with his voice) was included (you'd say sampled these days) in the Pink Floyd album 'The Wall'.
