I am planning on buying a Nintendo DS from duty free at Manchester airport, but now wonder if it would be worth waiting til we get to Dubai airport. Any ideas?

If you buy at either just be careful
Unless HM Customs and Revenue consider the Nintendo to be "used" when you return to the UK (if you are) you will pay Customs Duties on it (bought at either Manchester Duty Free or Dubai).
Buying abroad you have to ask whether what you buy has a ''world-wide guarantee''. Often, some thing like, e.g. a watch in Dubai, may have a guarantee that applies only in the country of sale. And, UK Customs can charge duty and VAT on an item whether it has been used or not. But it's worth a go. (And discard every bit of packaging before you return).
