poor choice of clothes

the weather here in london (as prob the rest of the UK) is pretty miserable today. However, i hadn't contemplated this before i left the house this morning and have chosen the complete wrong outfit to wear. I've got a long black gypsy skirt on with a black vest top a light jacket and flip flops. I wasn't to concerned as it is august and despite the rain, 20degrees. All my colleagues are in boots and trousers and jumpers, one girl came in wearing a scarf and coat ! My Q is...i have to go out tonight after work, shall i go home and get changed into something more suitable or leave it as i am ?

If I was going out tonight I would wear better shoes and have a jacket with a hood, prob. Maybe you should go home and change your shoes, and get a slightly better jacket??!! Depends what you are doing really! Flip flops are great in the rain providing you're not cold..!x
cheers guys. I don't feel cold or uncomfortable, its just when i walked into work today and saw everyone dressed like we were in the middle an ice age i felt totally paranoid. Then there is always one bint in the office that has to comment which, didn't help matters. I felt a bit like the person that goes to a fancy dress party only last minute the fancy dress theme was cancelled and no one told me. Sod it, after a few drinks tonight i won't care what i look like :-)
I know what you mean, I work in an office where most of them aren't happy till we're roasting at 80 degrees! We have some air con at the moment and as the sun isn't shinning much today I've managed to get the temperature down to 72 and I'm comfy, that means the others are freezing! Still I don't often turn the tables.
I've done the same thing too. Came to work in london in trousers, a t-shirt and some pumps (completely un-waterproof!!) So if i can stay as i am i think you can too!! And i've got to deal with it all week too, as i'm staying at my boyfriends for the week and havent brought a jacket with me at all!!!
