Okay, but what do they teach in the schools today?
Metric in schools
Usually the metric system but some still do teach both metric and imperial.

I was weighed at the hospital and my doctor's surgery this week, both used the metric measurements.
In school they teach us both metric and imperial units.

Stones - the schools were starting to change to metric when I left - I don't find weight too much of a hassle to convert, but when you're asked for your height in metres I have to think quite hard to change it over. There was something on TV the other night about decimilization and I found that I had totally forgotten the old monetary system.
I use a scale to weigh myself !!!!
