Has anyone ever peeled a grape? I know how to peel tomatoes easier (plunge them in hot water first,) but grapes? Is there ever a need?

Stupid question being as I'm not a grape-lover - unless they're made into wine.

Funnily enough Salla, I found a recipe last night which required grapes to be peeled. Consequently I decided it was too much of a clat so we won't be having that particular recipe.

personally, i use a blow torch to peel tomatoes. might work for grapes too but methinks life's too short for peeling grapes, stuffing mushrooms, making pastry or dusting :)

Ilve peeled them for eyeballs in halloween games
well, no, that's what makes it funny. It was originally a line in a Mae West film: 'Beulah, peel me a grape' - and it was a comedy so it was meant to sound daft. (Kids are another matter, but Mae West didn't have kids in her films.) Wasn't it Shirley Conran who said 'Life's too short to stuff a mushroom'? I tend to agree with that one.
Chicken Veronique requires peeled grapes. Apologies for being so factual,
