Apologies if I've posted in the wrong section, but I wasn't sure where to put this question. I may try another section too.

As a slightly unusual Valentine's gift I thought I'd buy my husband a model kit. He's very keen on Astronomy and Space and has always wanted to build every one of the NASA rocket series. Can anyone recommend the best most accurate model kits to buy (I know Airfix and Revell do kits) and also suggest the scale most people buy. Thanks very much everybody.

Hiya,

I'd have said that if it's something he's always had his heart set on, then perhaps best to let him buy the first one as he'll know what series he wants to build etc.

From what you've said, it sounds as though he'd love one of these... http://www.estesrockets.com/ I've built a few of these and they are brilliant fun and they actually fly! If you've got a bit of space and don't mind standing out in the cold with him for a bit then you'll be a very popular wife!
