OK, here's the thing, i ride a nifty fifty, i don't p!ss about on the roads because i respect the rules and since my accident i have been alot more cautious. But, some people insist on trying to ram me off the road by overtaking stupidly close on corners when there is a car coming the other way, cant these people just accept that i am a commuter and i respect every other driver on the road, Yes, i may be very slow and i couldn't give a flying fluff if somebody overtakes because they need to be somewhere but can they not just have a bit of patience and wait until it is safe to do so instead of putting mine and their own life at risk. I have a right to be on the road making my own way to college or work, people cant quite grasp this concept it seems! OK, moan over. :-)

Have you thought of taking a sewn off shotgun out with you? Say strapped to your back? I bet you get some road consideration then ;-)

Haha, good idea, i may try that tommorow on the way to college. Like you say, im sure it will make people change their ways. :-)

i would suggest that if you are riding slower than the speed limit for the road, then other drivers will be getting pist off with you holding them up - especially at rush hour of if they've planned a journey and you make them take twice as long...and I dont blame them...so why not just pull in to the side for 2 minutes and let the back log pass you, then you can carry on your way safely and not have anyone making dangerous manouvres around you?
if you are going the speed limit and not holding anyone up - then do as the others say and take up your space...you have paid for the use of the road ( cyclists dont pay anything so I see why they shouldnt do the same)

I agree with previous posts.. be defensive of your 'patch'... My Husband rides a 1000cc Aprilia and I worry so much about him... but not cos of his driving (he scored 100% in his Bike test) I worry about the stupid car drivers not seeing him...

If you make it harder for them to overtake you (by your position in the road) cars are more likely to think twice about ensuring they can pass you safely.. than taking a risk and squeezing you out!

Once you train for your full licence they should teach you all that!
