Too late for love?

I've just had a lengthy chat with a concerned relation regarding my Nan's "blossoming friendship" with one of her neighbours. Cyril and Nan have known each other for a long time now and grew closer after my Nan was liberated - sorry, widowed - a few years ago. She'd turn his greengages into jam and he'd show his appreciation with a few bags of runner beans from his allotment. However, it looks like things have been taken to a whole new level. Neighbours either side have been kept awake all night by their shenanigans and Nan has even regaled her friends with the finer details of her new love life. Apparently she is even shaving her face, so it must be serious. Should we be concerned, or just live and let live? We don't begrudge her a bit of fun, but her plans for marriage and IVF are just a tad unnerving.

But shouldn't someone talk some sense into Cyril? I'm sure his intentions are honourable, but whilst Nan is popping glucosamine pills and washing her smalls in the sink, Cyril has his whole life ahead of him and should be knuckling down with his studies.
