Hi - I didn't watch the new Dr Who, but I understand that at the end Christopher Eccleston handed over to David Tennant?  Is this right - because I have a quiz question that asks who is the most recent actor to portray the Doctor?  Should it be CE or DT do  you think?  Thanks in advance,,,,,,,,,

well the last person to portray Dr Who in an episode of the show was David Tennant, but only for a matter of seconds at the very end of the final episode.  I guess the answer may depend on how precise the questioner is being.  (sorry, not helping here, am I?)

It would have to be DT.  Even though he only appeared at the end of the show, he spoke....so surely he's the most recent Dr Who.

The way the question is posed, I would guess they mean Christopher Eccleston.

But to my mind, Kick and Gooner are right, David Tennant is the new Doctor, though as they say, we haven't seen him in his stride.

The way the question is worded, I'd say they're looking for the answer David Tennant (which is, after all, the correct answer), but hoping to trick you into giving the wrong answer, viz. Christopher Eccleston. I'd go with David Tennant.
