I have a Packard Bell Easynote laptop E3265 and when I load a disc it works for a little while then starts making a noise before stopping completely. Any advice appreciated

Maybe your Media player does not work with that disc,try another one which you have used before or download another Media player such as VLC.

Thanks vignon , The disc is fine so I think I have a problem with the disc drive it might be a bit expensive to replace bearing in mind the computer is 7 years old .
