It is horseracing you are going to isn't it Kilala ? She stipulated 'smart casual, and whatever your shoes are, they must be flat.' Sorry I'm not much help there as I've never been to the races and my own dress code is 'scruffy'.

That's what I figured! I am a jeans and trainers gal, and on big nights out might stretch to trousers and shoes and strappy top. I have been informed that i am to wear a skirt, look smart and sexy, but be practical too, as we leave at half seven (am) then return very late...
