I am going to italy for 8 days in June and want to fly into Genoa to go to Cinque Terre and then travel down to Amalfi Coast.

Does anyone know if trains go from La Spezia to Naples? I cant seem to find anything about this online.

Thanks for your help!

Well La Spezia has a station and Naples has one too, so the answer is yes. You almost certainly have to change though as one is north of Rome and the other south.

Try spelling Naples Napoli - that could be the problem if you are trying the Italian rail site

There are a few direct trains, otherwise change at Rome.

Examples (for today, Friday):
0729 departure arrives 1424 (Direct)
0932 departure arrives 1524 (Direct)
1006 departure arrives 1530 (Change)
1206 departure arrives 1830 (Change)
1406 departure arrives 2024 (Direct)
(There are also other services with several changes).

TrenItalia's website is one of the worst rail sites in Europe.
Fortunately, Die Bahn, the German railway has ALL European rail times on its website. (It's far better than our own Nation Rail site for UK information!). You can find it here:

Hi There,
When we were planning our trip to Cinque Terre we found this website www.cinqueterreitaly.co.uk. The site offers all the information needed to plan a trip in Cinque Terre and also cooking lessons and wine tasting, hiking etc etc in Cinque Terre. We also booked our accomadation through this site and we were really pleased with it. The whole trip was wonderful and we were greeted a warm welcome good food, amazing hospitality and the most stunning place in the world... The cooking lessons were brilliant with fresh organic local produce which we sat down to eat after preperation..The lesson cost a mere 20 euro and was in probably the best restaurant in Cinque Terre.. I would thoroughly recommend using this site when planning a trip to the Cinque Terre...
