...for some bread and milk. I'm standing in the queue to pay and a young mother comes in with her child who I'd say was about 4 years old.
Mother - Do you want a hot sausage roll?
Child - No
Mother - Well do you want a cornish pastie or a cheese and onion one?
Child - No I don't want any of those
Mother - Look you have to have something for your DINNER!! ...Oh go on then, just pick some sweets!!
BOO - you are as honest as the day is long & I love ya for it. -x-
Lottie - sugar &/or condensed milk sandwiches! Bread & dripping - loved it! But we also had a jug of green water on the table to wash down the Sunday roast - very healthy!
Can you still get those disgusting Spaceships with sherbet inside? The sherbet was lovely but the casings were rubbish, stuck to the roof of your mouth!
ideal dinner for the kids...family size bag of revels each...let's see...you've got your rasins, peanuts, orange flavour...i'd say thats a great start towards thier five a day!!!
yeuch I remember those boxtops....flying saucers. My favourite was Rainbow Crystals and the sherbert you used to suck through a piece of liquorice and if you sucked too much you choked............
annie, is that annie who disappeared earlier on this evening...? yes please, black lips and sherbet up my nose would just finish the day off right for me!
Nope, not annie the troll, I've been here for years!!! - no black lips i'm afraid boxtops - there is no licorice - just a plastic tube filled with sherbet of various colours. Guess I could use it as a topping for the M&Ms the kids are having for dinner tomorrow ;0)
Oops, sorry annie, identity crisis, my mistake! Wot no licorice? - I'd have thought a plastic straw was more risky than the old lico tube (bleah, I can taste it now!). You could use it instead of sweetener in your tea, fizzy PG, yum!
