Go to the question in question (!), run your mouse along the address bar and copy it, then paste. Hope this makes sense.

Hi,

Recommend you copy and paste the entire URL of the Question/thread you are referring to. For example:

http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/How-it-Works/Question128388.html

There is no way you can refer someone to a particular answer, in the way you describe, within a thread.

AB ED

I right click on the address bar, highlighting it, then go back to the post in question, then right click onto the page & paste, then press return until the link goes purple. Once you've submitted answer, the link will appear red - for instance:

http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Animals_and_Nature/Question128191.html

I do the same to transfer/show a link from Google, etc.

Hope this is what you mean lozzz.

IIf you look below the toolbar, you'll see the address which icludes that question's number. Copy and paste it in yir own answer like so

http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/AB-Suggestions/Question128393.html

If you press the "enter" key, it changes colour and becomes underlined. If you click on it so it is highlighted you can then overtype it and you can replace it with for example

here and that is it.....

Same difference?

ah thanks for that TCL! always has bugged me

Sorry ICEMANSAV - I did post the same as TCL, but it's disappeared! Made my post look a bit silly now.

Here

Is all I was trying do post - never ind eh?

*Is all I was trying to post - never mind eh?

I think my keyboard batteries need changing!

Smudge the "difference" was how to add the "here" bit and when I wrote it I hadn't even read yir answer so don't get the hump. I didn't notice ABE asking what the difference was after you posted an answer similar to his/hers......

What more can a girl do?

I didn't take umbrage TCL, I posted the same before you, showing 'Here', but it disappered, hence my apology to ICEMANSAV.

So there you go - a misunderstanding - they do happen!
