I have a Rover 216 R reg. I had to be towed back yesterday as the immobilser won't work. The key won't open the door using the key fob and it won't turn the engine over! Do I have to buy a new key which will cost me £59.99 for the key and £49.99 to be programmed? or can I put new batteries into the fob and re-programme - the rescue man from the garage thought I could?
