Alfie's just nicked my dinner of the kitchen side. I went in there to get it and it was nowhere to be seen. The little git had jumped up on the side, ran outside and downstairs and ate it. I just found the packaging under the olive tree.

He's sulking outside now after a severe telling off.

Boiled eggs come with soldiers! Everyone knows that... If I served you boiled eggs I'd make you soldiers snags. (Not that I'd ever even attempt to serve you eggs).

It was only a tortilla, Moucha, but that's not the point. He could have pulled a pan of boiling water over him by jumping up there, if I'd had water on the boil.

China.... you just cannot have boiled eggs without soldiers, can you !! Sliced toast just doesn't cut the mustard...
''He could have pulled a pan of boiling water over him by jumping up''

And then you'd have had something to eat for tea... with soldiers? ;-p

Snags.... don't say that...!

My poor little baby.....
Quite right NoM - just make you sure you give Alfie a big cuddle at bedtime, and one from me please! Many years ago my sister made 3 large game pies for the sports club after-refreshments. They looked brill and she left them at the back of the work surface to cool. When she came to pack them up for delivery she noticed how light in weight they were - her doberman had managed to get her tongue into each of the air vents on the pies and sucked out all the fillings without disturbing the pastry crust. Sandwiches were soon in quick production. You have got to love dogs!!
how large is your thief of a dog?

I found a catnip mouse in the fridge earlier - no idea why it was there or how it got there.

He's a medium sized dog - a cross between a red setter and a cocker spaniel. 21 kgs last time the vet weighed him.

He won't get a cuddle tonight, but chances are he'll jump on the bed much earlier in the morning. He usually does this when he's been in trouble.
