was just watching the weimaraners. Does anyone else think that their movement is unbalanced by being towed along on such a tight lead?

woofgang, many of the breeds are 'strung up' when moved, we have been having this debate on one of my dog groups. Even Border Collies, which should move with their heads carried lower are being shown with tight collars holding their heads up. Difficult in a small slippery ring to assess movement as well.

I would much rather see a dog on a loose lead, even free standing breeds are being strung up now in an effort to enhance the length of the neck.

all it would take IMO is for judges to require gaiting and standing on a loose lead
