Contraceptive Impant
5 Answers
I have been considering changing from the mini pill to the implant. I have done some research but was curious to know if anyone has had one or is currently using one. I have a 2 year old and for the next few years at least I absolutely and categorically don't want to get pregnant again, I am apprehensive about using one only for the reason that it seems almost to good to be true; that once it's in the arm you just forget about it for 3 years. I am worried that they will put a faulty implant in my arm. Anyway, your thought on this device would be appreciated. TIA

I've got the implant. Best thing I've used so far. I haven't had a period since it went in, no side effects, no weight gain, no PMT or teary days, no bloating no pain.....and completely worry free.
I have to get mine taken out soon as my 3 years are nearly up. Well, tomorrow actually but I'v gone and made lunch plans. I'll get back to you on how easy it is to get it out.
