How to get rid of a coldsore before work on Monday????

Anyone got any suggestions how to get rid of a unsightly coldsore before work on Monday morning?? It suddenly started to make an appearance last night and has got worse and worse!!!! I have been putting neat Tea Tree Oil on it all day which seems to have helped - but I cant stand the smell anymore!!!!!! HELP!

I've never tried it but apparently if you dab some cold black coffee on it, it soon goes, (and no, that's not a wind-up!)
