enduring power of attorney

When my EPA comes through soon how will it make the use of cheques easier? Will I have a card or something to show anyone I'm dealing with? Thanks for your help.

Er, I don't believe Enduring Powers of Attorney are raised any more - they were replaced in 2007 by Lasting Powers of Attorney.
And neither of them are directly related to making it easier for an individual to use cheques, or provide for the use of a card to make it easier to do anything.
They are about giving control of one's financial affairs to another person.

You will get whatever the bank you are dealing with chooses to give you - which may be nothing, maybe a debit card, maybe a cheque guarantee card, maybe internet access, may be a cheque book with your name in it - maybe not.

They all seem to have different policies and wildly varying standards of efficiency.

The EPA/LPoA itself is just the document, stamped as official by the OPG. They certainly don't give out cards or anything.
