I have just got married. What is the process by which I go about getting my name changed on the local electoral roll?

Contact your local council, they maintain and update the roll.  Give them a ring, they're usually helpful.

Or you can wait until October when a form will drop through the door getting the details for next Februarys Electoral Register. If you choose to do this and there is an election before February, you are still able to vote under your maiden name.
