she's in hospital.. taken a turn for the worst and the doctors have given her days.. I'm 4 hours away.. (or six if you count the idiot on the M40 last week crashing his car.. how inconsiderate!).. Anyhoo..off down south tomorrow.. I expect to be a half orpan by next weekend.. how sad..
Well - I live in Derby (unforunately!) and Mum is in Horsham, west sussex.. Going via Cheltenham to collect middle sis so probably 5 hours on the motorways on a Friday night.. Sounds like Fun!
Society - it's a bit more complicated.. she's had cancer for EVER.. but hasn't been able to have treatment whilst is hospital because of her calcium levels in her blood (not sure I even know what that means!!).. so it's taken a firm grip and isn't letting go..
Very sorry to hear your sad news. My mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer three weeks ago but has gone down hill very fast. She has been unable to eat or sleep and is obviously in great discomfort. Drive carefully, xxx
She's 75.. the thing is doddery old dad (89) appears to have turned into Benjamin Button (to Quote Big Sis) and is remembering names and making cups of tea like Billio!!
